Going to school in Foxboro

During the trip, we were lucky to follow our penfriends in their classroom and discover their highschool and the way they are taught. It is a little bit different than in France. At first the school is much cleaner than ours, it is bigger and better well-kept too. In addition the hours of school are different : classes start at 7.30 am, they have thirty minutes to eat their lunch around 1 or 2 pm and they leave around 2.30 pm. So they have a free afternoon. Then the American students seem more modest than us because in the corridors we didn't see any couple kiss or a person who gave somebody a cuddle. However we saw the way they behave in class and we found it laxer than here, teachers spend a lot of time speaking and exchanging with their pupils, students are allowed to stand during the class to put something in the dustbin for example. Moreover teachers are not as strict as ours about chatting and students write less than we do. Not all of that is good, but I think that a part of the way the school works may give some ideas to certain schools in France :)
